Party Crafts

Having a craft table or two at a party is becoming increasingly popular. It helps to enlist the help of a willing parent or two, so all guests have the opportunity to make a take-home treat of their very own.

I have recently introduced a party crafts section to the website http://www.funkydorypartybags.co.uk

Modelling clay and colour-in fridge magnets are very good sellers, and soon to come will be colour-in bookmarks, boxes and other simple craft activities.

You don't have to be very artistic to be crafty. You can print off free pages and templates by doing a quick search of the internet, or draw a simple template of your own for guests to colour and decorate.

Here are a few ideas of simple items to make:

door hangers
fairy wands
crowns
party hats
bookmarks
masks

Or you could go one step further and have a party built around a craft theme, such as:

paint your own tee shirt
paint your own mug
shrink art
jewellery making
photo frame making

The above are particularly good for older children. Very young children enjoy decorating balloons with stickers!

Please feel free to add your own craft suggestions.
